Paperback. Jean Luc is a werewolf. A member of a group of cryptids devoted to protecting mankind from an evil faction of cryptids set on enslaving and feeding off of humans. Along with the Voodoo Queen Madame Evangeline, Loa Papa Legba and the Vampire James Doberge he is in search of the evil Armand. The rhythmic pulse of jazz music, the sweet scent of beignets, all felt different now - muted, underscored by the underlying note of danger. He felt the weight of his responsibility, a burden he had carried for centuries. As he continued his patrol, the chilling image of the werewolf and the nearness of the threat echoed in his mind, a stark reminder that the night, in the French Quarter, was far from over. The shadow of the Quarter was long, and the darkness, he feared, was only beginning to reveal its full power. Something far larger, something far Jean Luc is a werewolf.
