TORY ALEXANDER WAS NOT THE FIRST WARRIORESS TO BE DISPLACED IN TIME BY TALIESIN. Their druid decrees that a great sacrifice is needed to secure the favour of the Gods-and defeat the Romans, who are sure to retaliate.Sorcha, but a child at the time, wins the honour to become a divine sacrifice and attain an audience with the Gods. However, she must first make the sacred pilgrimage to Mon to meet Taliesin, High Merlin of Albion. Yet before the High Merlin can guide her toward her extraordinary destiny, many centuries into the future, he must first allow her to live out her fate in ancient Gallia, where her homeland and kin have just been decimated. As one of the last of her clan, Sorcha of the Veneti is destined for a glorious death.
