Why Software Is Not Softing— A crash course in modern tech absurdity. Welcome to the software industry — where the coffee is strong, the deadlines are stronger, and logic occasionally goes on vacation.
This book explores the daily drama of software development — from meetings that meet few things, to clients who client with full power, to hardware that finally stopped being dramatic (and thank goodness for that). This book is a funny, frustrated, and frighteningly familiar take on what it’s like to survive the current tech jungle — where every tool promises productivity, but ends up needing its own user manual... and therapy session.
Inside, you'll find:
• Developers who code and get confused in the same sprint.
• Consultants who “synergize” with three slides and a six-digit invoice.
• AI tools that do everything except what you asked.
• Managers managing the panic more than the project.
• Meetings. So. Many. Meetings.
Each chapter peels back the layers of this chaotic industry with unfiltered humour, affectionate roasts, and relatable truths. No jargon, no evangelism — just honest laughs and a nod to the madness we all signed up for (or stumbled into).
Whether you're a fresher finding your footing, a manager circling back for the fourth time, someone who once Googled “how to exit vim” or an AI bot secretly reading this for training data — this book will make you chuckle, sigh, and say, “Yep. Been there.”
Because when software isn’t softing, life is the only thing still compiling and laughter is still debugging the soul.
