Paperback. What if every goal you have ever set - even your most sincere, most spiritual ones - is still too small? Most believers spend their entire Christian lives aiming at the ceiling of what they believe is personally achievable. We set goals that seem reasonable, measure progress by how far we have come, and call it growth - never realizing how far below God's highest standard we have quietly settled.Too Small is a call to raise your aim. With pastoral honesty and theological depth, Dennis Piearcy walks readers through the full landscape of human standards - from God's perfect holiness at the top, down through grace and sanctification, through natural law and human moral philosophy, and all the way down to the consuming darkness of a world that has abandoned every standard entirely. At every level, the same two realities are at work: the Spirit pulling upward, and the self pulling downward. And at every level, the answer is the same.Walk in the Spirit. Abide in Christ. Die to self. Set your aim on the sky. This book is for the believer who senses that God is calling them higher than where they have been. For the one who is tired of a small version of the Christian life. For the one who is still learning, still stumbling, still pressing - and ready to press harder. The goal God has set for you is nothing less than Christlikeness. Not approximately. Not eventually.Like Christ. That goal is not a burden. It is the most glorious invitation ever extended to a human being.Press on. He is worth it.Dennis Piearcy is a pastor, preacher, and lifelong student of the Word of God. He writes not from the heights of arrival but from the road of pursuit - still learning, still aiming, still pressing on."Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on."- Philippians 3:12, NKJV This item is printed on demand.
