The raven entered the dark because its nature inclines it toward the edge of things. It came back white. The white does not wash out.
This is the founding myth CORVUS ALBUS — and this codex is its complete written theology.
SITCON ARTSIGAM / CORVUS ALBUS: The Codex is the companion volume to the LUPUS POTESTATIS albums of the same name, and the sixth entry in the Dark Sacred Series: a gothic mythology distributed across music, visual art, and the written word. Each codex maps the interior architecture of its corresponding album — the theology, the faction structure, the rites, the language, and the precise reasoning that the songs are the surface of.
CORVUS ALBUS is a faction built around a single practice: sustained, organised, attentive standing at the boundary between ordinary being and the governance of the dark. Its members do not seek transformation. They seek the accurate relation to what is actually there — to a governance that is exact, patient, complete, impersonal, and entirely indifferent to the scale of the individual standing at its edge.
This volume contains:
-
The complete theology of MAGISTRA NOCTIS and her seven attributes — patience, precision, sovereignty, impersonality, alteration-law, completeness, and unknowability
-
The Raven's Law in full — the seven provisions that constitute the operational code of CORVUS ALBUS
-
The faction's rank structure: Witness, Carrier, Keeper — and what each rank requires
-
The Rite of First Darkness, the Rite of the Carrier's Weight, and the complete liturgical calendar
-
The Velthari language glossary — the faction's constructed tongue, with pronunciation, grammar, and theological function for every term
-
The Cipher Song — its origins, its transposition protocol, its acoustic function within the practice
-
Seven personal interstitials by Luca Noir — first-person accounts of the vigil kept against the will, the night the asking stopped, the specific quality of watching someone else be altered, and what the Cipher sounds like at 3 a.m. when the city has gone quiet
The Dark Sacred Series does not offer comfort. It offers accuracy — the precise account of what the boundary is, what stands on the other side of it, and what sustained proximity to it leaves on the things that remain there long enough.
The white is not a colour. It is the accurate record of a contact.
