Help your child prepare for baptism with a tender, faith-filled story about the Savior’s love and the choice to follow Him.

Joshua is a curious boy with a heart full of questions—and his favorite person to ask is Grandpa. When Joshua starts to feel nervous about his upcoming baptism, Grandpa shares a story from the Sheep Chronicles, a special collection of parables filled with gospel truths.

In this illustrated tale, children will meet Shannon the Sheep—a wanderer who gets lost and finds herself rescued by a loving Shepherd. Through Grandpa’s story, Joshua begins to understand what it means to repent, be baptized, and become a member of Jesus Christ’s flock.

This gentle story invites young readers to explore the purpose of baptism in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and to feel the peace of choosing to follow the Savior.
