- Libro 3 de 3: The Costura Mágica Chronicles
Magical realism at its most tender: a story of grief, thread, and the impossible woman hidden in the paint.
She built a cage for a ghost, and the ghost looked back.
In the mist-shrouded peaks of Puerto Rico, where the rain falls with devotional persistence, Elena Reyes has spent a decade stitching the town's sorrows into quilts to keep from drowning in her own. As a practitioner of Costura Mágica, she knows how to turn raw grief into beautiful, managed order. But when she salvages a box of paint-stiffened drop cloths discarded by a reclusive artist, her needle strikes a scream in the fabric she cannot ignore.
Rhys Vaughn was once a master of vibrant color, a celebrated painter whose canvases were emotional excavations. Now he haunts his own studio, painting sterile white Portraits of Absence to wall out the memory of the woman he loved, and the crash that ended her music.
Then a single sunbeam pierces Elena's workshop, and the chaotic smears on the drop cloths resolve into something impossible: a spectral woman with a cello and a sorrowful smile. Elena has found the ghost Rhys tried to discard, a woman trapped behind the glass of his guilt.
To unlock the story buried in the pigment, Elena must walk into Rhys's storm. She must prove that a story isn't just in the big pieces; it's in the wear, the stains, the way a thread puckers from a hasty mending. But bearing witness has a cost. As the outside world closes in, Elena finds herself choosing between the safe harbor of her ordinary life and a living current that threatens to pull her under.
The Shape of Rain is the haunting conclusion to The Costura Mágica Chronicles, a lush work of magical realism about the courage it takes to face the past and find hope in the shape of a single, perfect line of blue.
Step into the storm. The final stitch is waiting.

Descripción de la tienda
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
