Paperback. This case that pulled us out of hiding and nearly buried us for good. I'm telling it now because the official record tells the wrong story-the sanitized version that protects the powerful and sacrifices the inconvenient. But the truth matters more than my comfort, and the people who lost everything to this scheme deserve to know what was done in their name. Cambridge is a city that polishes its history until it gleams, but underneath the stone courtyards and ancient traditions, there are men who see human lives as columns in a spreadsheet, assets to be depleted. This is not a redemption story. Alice and I did not come back to Cambridge seeking justice or closure or any of the tidy words people use to wrap up horror in digestible packaging. We came back because Graham Parker was dead and nobody else would ask why. We came back because a junior auditor had the courage to make a phone call, and we owed him the courage to answer it. What we found went far beyond a Ponzi scheme. It reached into the judiciary, the charity sector, the mayor's office. It touched the very people who had put us into witness protection in the first place.I'm writing this from a motel room outside Norwich, Alice asleep in the next bed, the case files spread across a table that has seen better decades. We are still running from some of what we uncovered. But the story will not stay quiet any longer. This item is printed on demand.
