Cooke was the headmaster of the Grammar School of King Edward VII and includes a short memoir of his life. Hardcover with presumed original bindings including brown leather spine and paper boards, moderate wear to boards, worn spine ends and tear at upper spine end; title plate still present, firm spine. Inside front cover is a book plate for Clement Ingleby, quite clean interior, index, memoir, list of subscribers (18 pages), xxxiv, 421 pages.
