Print on Demand. This book is a highly informative read for those interested in understanding the history of North and South America, with a specific focus on the people indigenous to this region. The author has gained a wealth of information from studying the earliest accounts made by explorers, including journals of their travels and communications with the indigenous people they encountered. This book goes beyond simply retelling these historical accounts, however. The author takes a critical look at the information presented to uncover the motivations of the explorers as well as their biases and misunderstandings. The author himself counters these misunderstandings by providing readers with a detailed account of each group of people, describing the similarities and differences between them, their relationships with each other and the conditions under which they lived. Having laid this groundwork, the author goes on to examine how the people and their culture changed over time all the way up until the period when this book was written. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
