Three volumes. Large folio (38 x 29cm), published at £6 6s. The first English edition translated by W.B. Grove & edited by A.H. Reginald Buller and C.L. Shear. 'Tulasne's scientific reputation was based largely on his work on cryptograms. His major publication, written with his brother, was Selecta Fungorum Carpologia.'- DSB. Vol.I, pp. a-z,aa-dd,xxiv,247,[3]; Vol. II, xxii,[2],302,[2]; Vol. III, pp. xviii[2], 206,[2]. With a total of 61 plates reproducing in collotype the original plates from the original Latin edition published in Paris in 1861-5. An excellent set in the publisher's green cloth, gilt, with the dustwrappers which have some light wear. Clean & fresh inside & out, the endpapers with the ownership inscription of T. Bond, 1948.
