Neuware - 'Select Works of Plotinus' offers a profound exploration into the heart of Neoplatonism, presenting the essential philosophical treatises of one of antiquity's most influential thinkers. This collection, curated from the monumental 'Enneads', delves into the nature of the One, the Soul, and the Intellect, providing a systematic framework for understanding the relationship between the material world and the divine. Through these selected writings, Plotinus examines the ascent of the human spirit toward ultimate reality, blending rigorous logic with mystical insight.Translated by the renowned Platonist Thomas Taylor and edited by G. R. S. Mead, this volume serves as an indispensable guide to the foundations of Western metaphysical thought. Readers will find deep reflections on the immortality of the soul, the hierarchy of existence, and the pursuit of virtue as a means of purification. As a cornerstone of late classical philosophy, the work of Plotinus has significantly shaped Christian, Islamic, and Renaissance thought, making this collection a vital resource for students of history, theology, and philosophy alike. These selected works capture the intellectual rigor and spiritual depth that continue to make Plotinian thought relevant for contemporary seekers of wisdom. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. This work was reproduced from the original artifact, and remains as true to the original work as possible. Therefore, you may see the original copyright references, library stamps (as most of these works have been housed in our most important libraries around the world), and other notations in the work. This work is in the public domain in the United States of America, and possibly other nations. Within the United States, you may freely copy and distribute this work, as no entity (individual or corporate) has a copyright on the body of the work.As a reproduction of a historical artifact, this work may contain missing or blurred pages, poor pictures, errant marks, etc. Scholars believe, and we concur, that this work is important enough to be preserved, reproduced, and made generally available to the public.
