The Ascent of Angels was a trap. The Sword War was a lie. The final battle will burn the whole world down.
Simon survived his rise from a lowborn Dun to a Seraphim angel, only to be stripped of everything. Now, exiled in the shadowy depths of the Glow Zone, guilt is a cage worse than any cell. His choices in the devastating civil war led to a catastrophic deal with the tyrant, Raphael XXI sealing Simon’s true love Anastisa and the entire Sevener population to a slow, agonizing death.
With the rebellion broken and his allies scattered, Simon is a ghost: physically broken and haunted by the knowledge that he failed the people who sacrificed their very bodies to save him. His only hope is a desperate, impossible plan: a stealth war to save the Seveners, or watch their fragile world collapse.
But Raphael is somehow always one step ahead. Is there a traitor in their midst?
Simon is no longer fighting just for freedom, but to stop a final, catastrophic act he himself enabled. The price of victory is not just their lives, but the very survival of the entire colony ship, The Exsta. To save his world, Simon must Seize the Sun, even if it means becoming the ruthless figure the Higher Angels always claimed he was.
The explosive conclusion to the Ascent of Angels trilogy is here. Perfect for fans of Red Rising and The Hunger Games, this is the ultimate battle for the soul of humanity.
