Volume is mostly photographs and reproductions of the artists work, with several essays including Letter to Gery De Smet, The Politics of the Topography, Back in Society (Interview with Daniela Zangrado), a biography, and list of works. From the book--Gery De Smet starts often from people's motives or customs, which he filters by his specific artistic vision "to give back to the people." The work of Gery De Smet researches the fact of idntity of people and demasks the constructions behind it. At the same moment it is an accessible oeuvre which starts from the power if the images. Good works of art have anyway a large social surplus value.
