Chapter One

At this very moment, you are experiencing either your true Identity or your false ego identity, which manifest as either peace or conflict, non-dual or dual. When you operate from duality you lack peace, you are anxious, upset, controlling, or afraid, you feel less then perfect love toward all beings. When you operate from a non-dual state you are at peace, content, present, and you feel wide-open, expansive love for all beings. The fullness of your Spirit flows through you and each moment-to-moment creative expression of your aliveness is immersed with light, love, and ecstasy. The experience of yourself as the divine embodiment of perfect love and luminosity right now is real and is based on oneness. The experience of yourself as a separate defined personality with opinions, reactions, beliefs, flaws, and limitations is a false ego identity rooted in judgment, past conditioning, duality, fear, and based on an illusionary false belief in separation.

When you identify yourself with the thought system of duality the impact is the suffering described in the concepts of separation discussed throughout this book. Of course there are many forms of suffering not mentioned in this book, however all forms of suffering have the same one source, which is the judgment within our mind that we are separate and flawed. When you know the truth of who you are as pure infinite divine love, wholly perfect, and eternally one with and the same as your Divine Creator, the impact is a whole new reality of perfect love and endless joy. Don't get attached to the words in this book, because we are guiding you into an experience beyond mind and definition into no mind, a state of pure oneness.

When your experience becomes one of deep presence of being your divine eternal Self, in that moment you are spiritually free. You literally become peace eternal, total freedom, indescribable bliss. You are in your natural state, which is your true essence, your undefined timeless being. You become the divine presence that is the core truth of who you eternally are. You become one with all that is true. You are pure God awareness and ever-expansive aliveness. You may access this state at this very moment, it is always available; it is who you are.

On the other hand, the instant judgment enters the mind and presence disappears, an illusionary dream world of conflict appears. Your life is lived through the false context of separation and duality, which isn't life at all. Your constant agenda is to survive the constant illusionary threats of fear, guilt, and scarcity. You have forgotten who you are. The illusion of separation is neither bad nor wrong; however, the outcome of living in duality unconsciousness is always conflict and suffering.

The purpose of this book is to lead you out of the dream of separation into a sustained experience of being your divine eternal Self, dwelling eternally in the ecstatic, all-loving reality of oneness; Heaven. The purpose of this book is to awaken you to the changeless, infinite, eternal, timeless, boundless enlightenment of who you truly are; the infinite spacious divine being that is your original core essence and true nature. The purpose of this book is to awaken you to an entirely new paradigm beyond time, space, form and definition; the real, permanent, infinite, ever joyous world you have never truly left. To know that within you is the holiness of God, that it is you, and to allow that divine power to fully infuse each present moment of your life. The goal is to return to the Absolute, that you wholly know and be your eternal Divine Self, knowing God and Self as one. To be immersed and one with the infinite sacred ecstasy of God's eternal being, so that you may be in the world, yet not of it.

Once this book has done its job it will become as useless as a map to a familiar destination. Don't get attached to the map. The map that is this book is not the goal. We will use this time-bound symbol merely to point the way out of time. We will use definition merely to lead you out of the conceptual, limited world of definition and into your timeless, unlimited, undefined, free Ecstatic Self.

To write about spiritual awakening is impossible. When the infinite, transcendent, formless, eternal state of Reality is reduced to a structure the limited mind can understand and define, it loses its pure, boundless, abstract, eternal essence. Only when we experience divinity fully through the wisdom of our ever-expanding heart, being the pure ecstatic awareness and bliss of our Divine Sacred Self can we fully experience the indescribable, incomprehensible, unfathomable, boundless, and eternal rapture that is our natural state of being. The concept of language, which lives in duality and limitation, is used to guide us to an inexplicable and miraculous experience of no words.

In later chapters we will discuss an experience based in the thought system of non-duality and duality; who you are and who you are not; out-of-time and time-bound consciousness; love and fear. Every word in this book is for the one purpose of awakening your mind to your Infinite Divine Master Self that dwells in the Absolute Reality; Awakened Mind. Oneness is about grace; it is given freely with no limits, requirements, or qualifications. The state of oneness is not gained through methods of attainment nor through earning or doing. The state of oneness is who you are, and once you open up and awaken to the vast and magnificent holiness of who you truly are, you will realize that you and your Creator have always been one. You are the embodiment of the divine, however your true reality has no form; who you truly are is the invisible, timeless, undefined, infinite love of God.

Our eternal pure awakened wholly loving awareness is like the sky; always present. Clouds of judgment, fear, and separation may pass, but the reality of our divine true nature is always present, constant, and true. It is analogous to the physiological act of dreaming and awakening that we do each day. When we live as our human ego identity we are asleep, when we live as our true divine essence we are awake, alive, aware, and free. Once you awaken from your sleep of unconsciousness and your nightmares of separation, you naturally awaken to the reality of oneness that is always present. You need only to awaken to who you truly are and all heaven's gifts that have always been deep within you are instantly returned to your awareness. This book is to help you transform your mind from the illusion of separation into the reality of oneness, so that you can awaken to the eternal, divine, ecstatic love and light that is who you truly are. This book uses your life as the classroom, with the awareness that every upset you experience, you have synchronistically set up for yourself as an opportunity to heal your own mind. The goal is to heal every emotional wound, every hidden belief, every judgment, limiting construct and filter, every layer of denial, fear, guilt, resentment, and hatred within your conscious, unconscious, and subconscious mind. How you awaken matters not; there are infinite ways to awaken besides this book. What matters most is that humanity awakens from the dream of separation, and once we awaken, all fear, duality, suffering, and limitation will naturally disappear.

My daily prayer:

I pray that my Divine Inner Teacher be my constant companion today, be You in charge. I pray that the fullness of my divine magnificence immerse my present moment awareness, that I merge with my Ascended Self, and live in alignment with my highest will and the highest good of all. That I seize every forgiveness opportunity that arises this day, so that all false belief in separation is healed and disappeared from my mind. That I live in gratitude, love, and faith, knowing that all is in divine right order and in those moments I forget, that I may quickly return my mind to Truth.

Duality verses Oneness

The Illusion of Duality: Believing that there is something outside you; believing that there is something separate from you.

Duality is simply the belief that there is a power other than oneness; that there is a power that opposes oneness, goodness, and love. Separation believes separation can exist and is real. Duality believes there can be a threat to perfect oneness and that the omnipotent, all good supreme power has an opposite, or an opponent. Duality states that this opposite has power over oneness, good, and love.

This is a message from my guides I received in 1979 entitled The Lie of Separation. "You have been lied to. Not by anyone outside you, but by a voice inside your head that lies. That voice tells you that God is apart from you, distant, judging, punitive, yet somehow loving; love never judges and love is always one. That voice tells you that there is sin, and it is in you, all around you, and someone is always to blame. It tells you that there is a power that opposes God's will, that you live in a threatening world, but anything that opposes God has no power and is of absolutely no threat to oneness, innocence, and perfect love. There is no one out there but your own inner thoughts projected out. Stop punishing yourself for what you never did, stop blaming the world for what you feel guilty of within yourself that isn't even true. When you see it is impossible for what God created to not be eternally perfect, that you are not really guilty, it was just a lie, a mistaken thought, then you will no longer see anyone as guilty and you can awaken from your nightmare of fear, guilt, and separation. Only the lies within your mind can hurt you, and the truth within you will set you free.

You have another voice you can listen to now, a voice that tells you the truth, that loves you unconditionally, that wants to awaken you and take you back home to where you never truly left. This real home is utterly glorious beyond all comprehension, a million times more awesome than the happiest moment imaginable within your dream. One tiny glimpse of this real world and you would know that there is nothing in your dream world you really want. Having fallen asleep in your nightmare you have forgotten who you really are. You are not the dream image of your body; you are a holy, infinite, divine awareness that is dreaming that fear is possible. From this moment on, be committed to listen to this other voice, your loving Inner Divine Teacher. This voice that speaks of truth is always there, you need to vigilantly question everything you ever believed to hear it. This voice within you is God calling you home, gently awakening you from your dream, and God will not fail."

When we believe in duality or separation we believe that there is an opposing force to the One all good and all loving Creator. We fear that our return to eternal oneness and ecstasy is not possible and that we are permanently stuck in separation, or hell. We believe that there are dual-based, negative, or "evil" forces that have power over and can threaten God, heaven, Truth, and oneness. We believe we can sin, be guilty, and be permanently punished and annihilated from God, all love, and all that is true and good. Rather than knowing that all is synchronistically unfolding in divine right order, we believe tragic, permanent chaos, accidents, and mistakes occur due to our flawed and guilty nature that can set us permanently in hell or separation.

A world of one and a world of many cannot coexist; they have nothing in common. You are always in either one world or the other; listening to the voice of truth or the voice that lies, peace or conflict, Reality or illusion. The instant you choose the world of duality, you believe that you are alone and apart from God. You believe there is an opposing force to the all-good and all loving Source that created you. All of a sudden there appears to be things outside yourself that can threaten you and that you need to compete with. You believe that you are small, vulnerable, and powerless. You believe that you are no longer whole; that you are just a tiny incomplete part amongst billions of other random and chaotic parts. You believe that you are limited to the little body and limited identity that you think of as yourself, and that you believe can sin, suffer, get sick, and die; a whole world of limitation, fear, and scarcity is born. Opposites, threats, and competition become possible. Suffering, loss, and lack are all pervasive. Surviving separation becomes your way of being, and nothing within separation will save you.

Once we believe that separation is real, we perceive everything through the lens of judgment, limitation, and comparison. We can only know light if we have darkness to compare it to; we can only know good if we have bad to compare it to. Therefore, our ego identity is reinforced and rooted in defending, comparing, and competing with the projected external world we believe is threatening and separate from our self. In the world of ego mind and separation we literally cannot experience ourselves as good without making someone or something outside ourselves bad. The egos of many dogmatic religions can only survive by creating the illusion of Satan, evil, and sin as real. Our ego mind compulsively makes everything wrong including ourselves, and rigidly holds onto being right about our judgments and opinions as if our life depends on it. In separation the mind needs to create belief systems, attach to fixed mental constructs, and rigid thinking in order to feel safe. The separated mind cannot stand not knowing, the unpredictable, the impermanence, and uncertainty, therefore it grasps to concepts and fixed beliefs to feel a false sense of security. The ego would rather fight to the death than give up its positions, beliefs, and convictions. Of course the ego is fighting for its life when it defends a position, because the ego literally disappears in the space of non-judgment, equanimity, trust, and embracing uncertainty. Our judgments and the attachments to being right is what keep our ego alive and surviving. However, when the ego disappears the expansive presence and divine magnificence of who we really are appears.

The nature of the ego mind is to project its fears and judgments onto the external world, which includes all the people and circumstances that upset us. Judgment and fear; fear is impossible without a judgment that there is something to fear, that something is wrong. The thought that this moment is not perfect traps us in the illusionary dream of duality. The ego uses judgment and projection to keep the mind trapped inside the dream of separation, believing it is a limited ego and forgetting it is an infinitely powerful Mind. Our Inner Divine Teacher corrects our judgments and projections in order to release us from the dream of death to eternal, ever-constant ecstatic love. The ego tells us that our safety and fulfillment are outside and separate from us, in a future moment, but never in the present moment where they can truly be found. We forget the truth that as a mind we are always safe, and as a body only the thoughts within our own mind can hurt us. Judgment is manifested as attachment to positions, dogma, rules, limitation, labels, fixed ways of being, rigid beliefs, mental constructs, control, stubbornness, opinions, resentment, conscious, unconscious, and subconscious mental conditioning and filters, etc. There is no freedom within the confines of judgment; it is a prison the mind devised in order to feel safe in what it perceives as an unsafe world. Judgment keeps the spirit repressed and the ego alive.

The paradigm of form, from etheric to the physical is a different abstraction within the illusion than the paradigm of time. In a world of separation the illusion of time is born and lifetime after lifetime, moment after moment appears to be happening sequentially rather than simultaneously. The illusion includes the entire paradigm of time, and time obeys very different laws within the different realms within the illusion. In this physical realm, time is linear and based in a mutually agreed upon, made up model. Years are separated into months, months into days, days into hours, hours into minutes, minutes into seconds; the illusion of past and future are born. The illusion includes all time that ever existed including all our past, present, and future lives. The illusion of separation uses the trick of time to divide the one eternal now moment into past, present, and future. The trick of time is based in the false belief in separation, limitation, and loss; every moment is a loss, a death to the next moment. We lose the now moment when our mind is engaged in thoughts of the past or the future. The illusion of time makes death, separation, and limitation appear possible. Everything changes in time; your baby becomes a child, your child becomes an adult, and inevitably everyone gets old and dies. Change, death, loss, and suffering are inevitable in a world of time and separation. Within the illusion of time everything eventually dies, nothing is ever permanent or eternal.
