Neuware - 'Sea-Toll of Our Time' is a gripping and meticulous account of the most significant maritime disasters that occurred during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Written by R. L. Hadfield, this work serves as a somber chronicle of the hazards faced by those who traversed the world's oceans during an era of rapid naval expansion and industrialization. The book examines a wide array of shipwrecks, collisions, and mysterious disappearances, providing detailed narratives of the final moments of vessels and the harrowing experiences of their crews and passengers.Hadfield explores the human element of these tragedies, highlighting acts of extraordinary heroism alongside the devastating loss of life that defined the sea-toll of the era. Beyond the individual stories of survival and loss, the work offers insight into the evolving safety regulations and technological advancements of the maritime industry as it grappled with the inherent dangers of the deep. 'Sea-Toll of Our Time' remains a valuable resource for readers interested in naval history, nautical lore, and the enduring struggle between human ambition and the natural elements. This compelling volume preserves the memory of those lost at sea and honors the resilience of the maritime community. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
