This book contains many captivating photographs of old plantation homes, historic sites, and other important places of interest from across the Old South. A short story accompanies each photograph to acquaint the reader with the people, history, and often, the ghost stories associated with each location. There are also anomalies and hidden history revealed about some of the citizens of the Old South that will not only surprise, but make many readers rethink the stereotypes they may hold regarding all Southerners of the Antebellum Era.

The author is a Louisiana native and student of the Old South's diverse history and culture. "Scenes and Secrets from a Southern Sojourn" is her second published book. Her previous literary work, "The Limoges Vase," a novel which she co-authored, was awarded "Best Mystery of 2006" by NewBookReviews.org, and received 5-Star reviews on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble websites. Prior to this, she placed as a semi-finalist in an international poetry contest that led to the publication of her poem in a volume of poetry. She studied liberal arts at Louisiana State University and the State University of New York. Besides writing, she has also worked as a realtor, litigation paralegal, and insurance agent over the past 25 years.
