SEX - DEATH - LIVE TV!NEW YORK CITY, 1951: The star of beloved daily television serial "Satellite Sam" turns up dead in a flophouse filled with dirty secrets. The police think it was death by natural causes but his son knows there was something more? if only he could sober up long enough to do something about it. This noir mystery shot through with sex and violence exposes the seedy underbelly of the golden age of television. By MATT FRACTION (CASANOVA, Hawkeye, FF) and HOWARD CHAYKIN (BLACK KISS I & II, AMERICAN FLAGG!). - See more at: https://www.imagecomics.com/comics/releases/satellite-sam-1#sthash.kqMo358Z.dpuf
"No one does sordid and illicit better than the combined talents of both of these creators. Chaykin brings just about everything to this comic that he's known for: carefully executed panel layouts, layered storytelling, a hunky lead character, and -- right there on the opening pages -- plenty of fishnet stockings and leather teddies. Fraction brings the spark of an engaging idea and peppers it with authentic dialogue amidst a cool setting, but it's Chaykin that ignites it and cooks the whole thing up with a flavor and feel that's unmistakably his."
-Comic Book Resources
"It's a testament to Fraction and Chaykin's talents that a book spanning such an intricate series of storylines can keep us consistently interested and involved; the sense of forward momentum that this story has built up is impressive. At the same time, the emotional dimension of this story can't be denied. "Satellite Sam" is about as much fun as you can have while feeling like you're seeing something you shouldn't, and one of the more involving, implicating comic-reading experiences to be had."

Acerca del autor
Matt Fraction writes comic books out in the woods and lives with his wife, writer Kelly Sue DeConnick, his two children, two dogs, a cat, a bearded dragon, and a yard full of coyotes and crows. Surely there’s a metaphor there. He's a New York Times-best-selling donkus of comics like Sex Criminals (winner of the 2014 Will Eisner Award for Best New Series and named TIME Magazine's Best Comic of 2013), ODY-C, and Casanova. Under their company Milkfed Criminal Masterminds, Inc., Fraction and DeConnick are currently developing television for NBC/Universal.
Howard Chaykin is a longtime veteran of the comic book business, serving as an artist and writer for nearly every publisher of comics in the past four decades…and counting. He took the ’90s off to work on mostly unwatchable television, so he missed the money and dreck that was comics in that execrable decade. He is responsible, some might say culpable, for introducing a number of previously unexplored themes to comic books. If you're not hip to what that's supposed to mean, there's always Wikipedia.
