Zustand: Hervorragend | Seiten: 286 | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | "The Salt from Their Tears," is the bond between a father and his three daughters and their quest to find a source of communication and healing. Andre Simms realizes as a father that he is incomplete without the love and blessings of his daughters. He attempts to be better and do better by offering counseling sessions to express themselves., openly yet, confidently. The sessions start off as heartbreaking confessions of betrayal and pain and concludes with an unexpected bombshell that will shake Mr. Simms, his daughters, and their therapist right to their very core. The proverbial thin line between sanity and insanity is displayed through the book. The interaction of patient and therapist offers a realistic take on the subtlety and severity of mental illness. Mental illness is commonly overlooked disorder in the United States and the more it is discussed and recognized the better the chances of reducing the undiagnosed and treated cases. Society has stigmatized mental illness as violent or dysfunctional individuals who pose an immediate threat to the general public. Unfortunately, Mr. Simms' daughters, Khloe, April and Kiera will find this to be true in a horrifying and tragic experience.…
