nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - When her child revealed a shocking sexual assault at the hands of a family member to her in 2021, Erin decided to stop at nothing to find justice for her child and the cousins who had experienced the same abuse. Rotten Fruit Is Falling Down is a gripping and raw exploration of the indomitable human spirit in the face of unthinkable pain. In this powerful and vulnerable memoir, author Erin delves into the depths of a family haunted by sexual abuse, in which silence has perpetuated the cycle of trauma for generations. At the heart of the story is her courageous child, Vinni, whose honesty sets into motion a wave of cousins reporting the same (or very similar) sexual abuse with the family member. With unwavering determination, Erin, her husband, and other family members begin a quest for justice that forever changes the dynamics of their family. Throughout Rotten Fruit Is Falling Down, Erin illustrates the illogical way the justice system seems designed to protect the guilty rather than provide solace for the victims. Written with unflinching honesty and laced with the irreverent humor reminiscent of Chelsea Handler and Amy Schumer, this book resonates with parents and individuals struggling with their own experiences of trauma. For those seeking stories of survival and resilience, Rotten Fruit Is Falling Down is a captivating and empowering read. It boldly breaks barriers and opens up conversations, shedding light on the darkest corners of human experience while illuminating the path towards healing and transformation.…
