The heads have stopped spinning from the variety of pieces in Lost and Found and the smoke has cleared from the hard-hitting assault of Locked and Loaded. Now comes the unveiling of a two-part pulse quickening collection of fragments of human emotion. Roses and Blood slithers throughout the cracks of emotions and feelings we have all felt at one time or another. Whether it’s the warm spark of a newfound love or the dying flame of a relationship torn apart. Some have even felt the sweat inducing heat of erotic lust. The roller coaster ride we go through in almost any situation when we deal with matters of the heart.
Though no matter how warm and secure we may feel, we can never escape from the icy grip of fear and horror. It can freeze the warmest thought and release the restraints of a dark imagination. Where anything can be a creature, and every sound becomes a haunting echo. Thoughts and images drawn from daily newspaper articles and stories that are broadcasted on the nightly news. Creepy visions created and inspired by classic horror stories and films. Personal fears we keep hidden inside ourselves that only surface when we are alone or in the dark. The chill that rips down your spine and makes you check the closet twice before going to bed.
Roses and Blood will lure you in and make you feel loved and secure then, like the flip of a switch, have you feeling scared and vulnerable. This half and half poetic journey expresses what we share in our hearts and exposes what we fear in the shadows. So, curl up in your favorite chair and enjoy.
