Greg Brenneman is the full time Executive Chairman of CCMP Capital, a large private equity firm. Mr. Brenneman plays an active leadership role in executing the Firm’s overall strategy while remaining actively engaged in completing transactions, developing strategies and coaching the senior management of CCMP’s portfolio companies.
Mr. Brenneman is one of the leading business turnaround executives in the world. Prior to joining CCMP in October 2008, he served as Chairman, CEO and/or President of Continental Airlines, Burger King and PWC Consulting. In each of these cases, he led a turnaround of the company capstoned by dramatically improved customer service, employee satisfaction, profitability and financial returns of up to 15X the money invested. In 1994, Mr. Brenneman founded Turnworks, Inc., his personal investment company.
Mr. Brenneman serves as Lead Director of The Home Depot, Inc. and on the Board of Director’s of Baker Hughes, Inc. He also serves on the Board of CHI/St. Luke’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, and is on the Board of a number of other CCMP portfolio companies.
Mr. Brenneman is an Emmy Award winner and the Author of Right Away & All At Once, Five Steps to Transform your Business and Enrich Your Life. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree with distinction from Harvard Business School, Bachelors Administration of Business in Accounting/Finance, summa cum laude from Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas, inducted into the Kansas Business Hall of Fame and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Commerce degree from Washburn University.

Greg has led a number of dramatic turnarounds at major corporations, such as Continental Airlines, Burger King and PwC Consulting. He is a former vice president at Bain and Company and has served on the board of directors at several large firms, including J. Crew, Browning-Ferris, Continental Airlines, ADP and Francesca’s. He continues to serve on the board of firms such as PQ, Milacron, Baker Hughes, Inc.,Baylor College of Medicine and The Home Depot (where he is lead director). In 1994, he founded his own personal investment firm, TurnWorks, Inc., which has focused on corporate turnarounds.
Greg holds a B.B.A. in Accounting/Finance, graduating summa cum laude from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. He also earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, graduating with distinction. Washburn University awarded him an honorary Doctor of Commerce degree, and in 2012 he was inducted into the Kansas Business Hall of Fame.
Greg has completed both the Boston and NYC marathons, and enjoys the outdoors. He and his wife, Ronda, recently climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro together. They have three adult children and enjoy mentoring high-potential young couples. They currently live in The Woodlands, Texas.
