Paperback. Return to Sender is a raw, unflinching exploration of love, loss, and the complex legacies we inherit from family, lovers, and ourselves. Through intimate, confessional verse, the collection traverses the terrain of desire, heartbreak, betrayal, and self-discovery, capturing the full spectrum of human emotion with striking clarity. In these poetries, the speaker confronts the weight of unfaithful lovers, the echoes of parental and generational wounds, and the longing for connection that is as painful as it is necessary. From the ache of a first love in dangerous streets to the intricate dances of mistress and wife, from the burdens of motherhood to the reclamation of self-worth, each piece illuminates the tension between devotion and survival, between surrender and self-preservation.With vivid imagery-spanning sunflowers, velvet, worn scrunchies, and Philly's streets-the poems probe the ways women are both vessels and witnesses to love, betrayal, and legacy. Themes of grief, longing, and empowerment thread through the collection, asking: how do we honor love without losing ourselves? How do we carry the memory of others without letting it define us?Return to Sender is both a tribute and a reckoning: a celebration of resilience, an excavation of pain, and ultimately, a declaration that even in betrayal and loss, there is room for grace, self-awareness, and reclamation. This is a book for anyone who has loved, been loved, and struggled to navigate the intricate choreography of the heart This item is printed on demand.
