Not Just Rescued (Paperback)

Paperback. NOT JUST RESCUED The Kingdom Purpose Behind Everything Jesus Came to DoBefore you were born, before the world had a name, you were already the reason. Most people carry a quiet, unspoken version of the gospel without ever choosing it on purpose: Jesus came to fix a mistake. He showed up to patch a broken system, pull you out of the water, and set you back on dry land before returning to heaven to wait out eternity with you. It is a smaller gospel than the one Scripture actually tells, and it leaves a person forgiven but strangely unfinished, rescued but not entirely sure what they were rescued for.NOT JUST RESCUED begins somewhere most books never go: before the beginning. Before Genesis one, before the first breath was ever breathed into human lungs, there was already a plan, and you were already inside it. Rolando Gayo walks you through the moment you were made in the mirror of the Divine, carrying the very image of the King who made you, and into the day everything broke, when that image was cracked but never erased. From there, the book does not rush past the cross the way so many books do. It slows down at Heaven's answer to earth's deepest problem and lingers at the cross that shook the cosmos, not simply as a transaction that settled a debt, but as the deliberate unfolding of a purpose written before time began. Something happened at that cross far bigger than forgiveness alone, and this book will not let you walk past it without seeing the whole of it.Then comes the turn most readers do not expect. What He Placed Inside You is not a metaphor. When Jesus rose, He did not simply open a door for you to walk through someday. He deposited something living and active inside you now: a new mind that changes everything about how you see yourself, a will finally free to want what He wants instead of fighting yourself at every turn, and a body being formed by resurrection power rather than mere willpower and good intentions. This is a book about becoming who you already are in Christ, not performing your way toward a version of yourself God might eventually approve of. You are not on probation. You are not simply forgiven and left to mark time until eternity starts. You are, even now, one of the sons and daughters of God the whole aching creation has been waiting to see revealed.Written in the same clear, unflinching, deeply personal voice that has carried Rolando Gayo's ministry across stages and sanctuaries alike, NOT JUST RESCUED is not content to leave you standing safely on the shore, grateful simply to have survived. It hands you back the fuller, older, far more astonishing story: you were dreamed of before you were formed, fought for at the cross, and filled with resurrection life that is even now working its way out into every corner of your ordinary days.If you have ever privately wondered whether your life carries any real weight, whether you are more than an accident wearing skin who happened to get saved, this book was written to settle that question for good, using nothing but Scripture and the plain, astonishing truth it has been telling all along. He did not come to rescue you and leave you exactly as He found you. He came for this. And whether you have known it until now or not, so did you. You were not just rescued and left the same. NOT JUST RESCUED reveals the purpose written into you before time began, the cross that shook the cosmos, and the resurrection life Jesus placed inside you. He came for this. So did you.
