Print on Demand. This book effectively questions the existence of an omniscient, omnipotent deity, concluding that the world is not being actively governed by a benevolent force, but is instead the product of a complex chain of natural cause and effect. The author bases this argument in the examination of religious texts of several prominent religions, finding that the tenets of each contradict one another and that none have been able to conclusively prove their individual claims. The author also examines the moral and ethical arguments for and against the existence of such a god, and concludes that the moral behavior of humanity is not dependent on religious belief. Ultimately, the book posits the idea that humanity is not necessarily the creation of a deity, but rather that we are part of a godless, self-evolving, natural universe. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
