Reconstructive Surgery of the Esophagus. Este artículo no está disponible.Reconstructive Surgery of the Esophagus

Reconstructive Surgery of the Esophagus allows the reader to take a fresh look at a subject that is mired in history and convention. The result is an honest examination of current dogma, providing a basis for rational decision making. The author makes use of a wide variety of both historical and contemporary original source materials, offering the reader a complete overview of reconstructive esophageal surgery. In addition to copious evidence-based information, the author shares some of his valuable experience-based observations to help guide the practitioner through details of complex procedures, avoid common problems, and manage complications when they occur. This book is organised to permit easy access to detailed information on all aspects of esophageal reconstruction, and is liberally illustrated with original line drawings that depict the relevant anatomy and steps associated with each procedure. Because the esophagus and related structures traverse three anatomic regions, reconstructive surgery requires knowledge of a host of different and sometimes arcane aspects of physiology and anatomy. General thoracic surgeons, general surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons, head and neck surgeons, and plastic/reconstructive surgeons will all benefit from this well-organised succinct text.
