This core of ournature is characterized by love, wisdom and compassion. The Real You is about reconnectingwith this dynamic inner presence and following its lead to transform every aspect of your life. Although each of us has an Authentic Self, the majority of adults are disconnected from itspresence and gifts. Somewhere along life's path, we often mistakenly identify with a verylimited story and experience of who we are. The Real You is a comprehensive work that illuminates and makes accessible the universalpath of the Authentic Self. It incorporates an in-depth understanding of trauma through theprism of the adaptive self, and makes the bold claim that one can find joy and fulfillmentby embracing and transcending the adaptive self. This path of inner work is also immenselyrelevant on a macro level, for as we own our Soul's curriculum we are empowered to solve themajor challenges unfolding in the world around us. The Real You interlaces an intimate autobiographical narrative throughout to illustrate theunderlying principles and exercises found within each chapter. With a convicted murderer andwhite supremacist gang leader in his own family, Gavin's tragic and triumphant life story isfront and center with raw vulnerability. eternal presence—that longs to be known, breathed into and lived from. This core of our
nature is characterized by love, wisdom and compassion. The Real You is about reconnecting
with this dynamic inner presence and following its lead to transform every aspect of your life.
Although each of us has an Authentic Self, the majority of adults are disconnected from its
presence and gifts. Somewhere along life’s path, we often mistakenly identify with a very
limited story and experience of who we are.
The Real You is a comprehensive work that illuminates and makes accessible the universal
path of the Authentic Self. It incorporates an in-depth understanding of trauma through the
prism of the adaptive self, and makes the bold claim that one can find joy and fulfillment
by embracing and transcending the adaptive self. This path of inner work is also immensely
relevant on a macro level, for as we own our Soul’s curriculum we are empowered to solve the
major challenges unfolding in the world around us.
The Real You interlaces an intimate autobiographical narrative throughout to illustrate the
underlying principles and exercises found within each chapter. With a convicted murderer and
white supremacist gang leader in his own family, Gavin’s tragic and triumphant life story is
front and center with raw vulnerability.
The Real You brings ancient teachings into the modern world and delivers healing medicine.
