I find it fitting to honor Dr. Dyer as the first of the "masters of ourtime" I'll feature throughout this book. Words cannot really capturehow grateful I am that the powers that be guided me to his work. Synchronicity and Miracles

It was synchronistic that Dr. Dyer's book Real Magic: CreatingMiracles in Everyday Life fell from a community library bookshelfto my feet almost eighteen years ago. I was methodically andsystematically pulling books out from the bookshelf that day just farenough to expose the covers and titles and long enough to evaluatethe book's usefulness. If the book had no relevance, it was easily andquickly shifted back into its place on the shelf. This efficient processI developed helped me scan through multiple books at a fast pace.The flow of this process became interrupted by a significant thud as ahard-covered book fell off the shelf onto the ground before me. It wasa mystical prodding and message for me to take note of the book, asif someone else placed it in my hands on purpose. It was difficult toexplain at the time, but I knew without a doubt that this book hadmade a grand entrance into my life for a reason.

From all of my research, study, and understanding of thepossibilities for magic to show up in life, I had plenty of examples ofthe miraculous things that could take place from moment to momentin daily life, as Dr. Dyer teaches. As the book fell from the shelfthat day, I had already been practicing and applying some energytechniques taught to me by a counselor I was seeing to support methrough the loss and changes that were happening in my life. Shewas untraditional in her approach as she guided me to play with theenergy in and around me. She was the first teacher who broughtawareness to me that I was made of energy and so was everythingoutside of me.

I was delighted at some of the exciting things that were happeningas a result of the further insights I was gaining on my own and fromDr. Dyer's book Real Magic: Creating Miracles in Everyday Life. Ifound a hundred dollars one day, and then interestingly enough,again while writing this book. I was finding parking spots up frontin crowded parking lots. I bought a house without a down payment.I was offered a position in research that supported my life better as Iadjusted to being a single mother. Roses showed up at my doorstepafter I said a magical prayer given to me by my mother just beforeher death. Money showed up in my mailbox unexpectedly. Initiallywhen I opened Dr. Dyer's book, I recognized I had unknowinglyread one of his earlier books, Pulling Your Own Strings, when I wasthirteen years old. A warm chill spiraled inside my body in thatmoment because I knew I had been divinely guided to his teachings.This feeling inside of me marked the beginning of my consciousconnection to spirit, an introduction to a lifelong guru, but it alsoguided me to continue to seek out the higher insights and knowledgeof many more experts and masters across time. As I combined all ofthese higher ways of knowing with my own personal sacred insightsand experiences over time, I began to magically and synergisticallycreate the changes I wanted to see in my life!

The Power of Intention

After I read The Power of Intention by Dr. Dyer, another great literarywork of his, I decided to apply his teaching from that book and fromReal Magic: Creating Miracles in Everyday Life, along with some of myown secrets and I set an intention to meet him. And so I did. WhenI met Dr. Dyer in Toronto in 2001, I held my copy of his book YourSacred Self in my hands. When it came time for me to meet him,he took both of my hands in his. I told him I was grateful for all ofthe wisdom his teachings had brought to my life. He took the bookfrom my hands and placed his signature across the title on the insidepages of the book, and then he looked up at me and said, "You havea beautiful aura." From one energy lover to another, I was honoredby his compliment! I was also further awakening to a brilliant powerinside of me that was `outside the box' of conventional thinking, yethad me intrigued to take note of the mystical information I seemedto naturally be in tune with around me even beyond this book. Ibegan to sharpen my senses to the world of energy that spoke to mein a language I knew many people around me didn't understand.

We feel powerful and connected to thevoice that calls us back to the truth. We become wiser, and mind,body, and spirit transform and heal. Beauty and knowing flow inand out of every cell inside us and intuitively blend with the energythat dances in the universe. My Story

I believe my mother knew all along, even before I did, that Iwas a healer at heart. I am grateful for her insight and her gentleprodding that inspired me to become educated in nursing before herunfortunate death in 1989. I have lived half of my life now withoutmy mother in the physical sense of the word—but as you will learnin this book, I have been guided by her spirit since her death.

Although my mother guided me to the nursing profession, it hasbeen my passion for caring and the desire to heal that has kept mestudying and practicing in this medical field. Along this journey, Ihave come to realize that we are all healers, but only to the extent thatwe are able to understand the power each human mind, body, andspirit owns as a result of its nature and design. This power extendsbeyond our ability to heal ourselves and others. The same powerallows us to create self-love, beauty, bliss, peace, success, abundance,and even magic and miracles if we choose. When we master creatingthese things in our lives, we experience living and being REALBeautiful in mind, body, and spirit.
