Paperback. Five days to retirement. A galaxy on the brink of war. And an exiled lawman with nothing to lose. For thirty years, Galactic Enforcement Ranger Ralth Eric Martin has been buried alive. Punished for a disastrous first patrol where his training officer died, he was exiled to Bane's World- a brutal, volcanic industrial outpost on the edge of the galaxy. He's got the scars to prove he can handle the lawless miners and gritty, steam-driven machinery of the frontier. Now, he's just counting down the hours until he can finally walk away. Then, the sky burns. When a Federation supply ship is vaporized on his watch, Ralth's quiet exit stops in its tracks. Ralth immediately discovers that the vaporized ship was no accident- it was a set bomb. To hunt down the saboteurs, Ralth must dust off investigation skills he hasn't used in decades. What Ralth does not know is that this is the opening salvo of a silent coup. But the conspiracy runs deeper than the corrupt system that abandoned him. As ancient secrets surface and an interstellar takeover threatens to destroy the only world Ralth has ever known, they're about to learn why you don't push an old Ranger too far. They thought he was a forgotten relic rotting on the edge of nowhere. Ralth is about to show them he's a steam-powered warrior. Grab the explosive first volume in a gritty, high-octane Space Western series! Fans of Firely, Galaxy Outlaws, and hard-hitting military sci-fi will love this book. This item is printed on demand.
