Sinopsis:
Here is a fun and interesting reproducible resource that teachers will use with children 8-12 to learn about the prophets. The format for each prophet is a summary of the prophet's mission and/or life, a fact section about him or others, and an activity to be completed during class. Throughout the book, students learn the definitions of the prophets' names and how they were identified in Scripture. In addition, students study facts about the prophets or the time and place that they occupied while proclaiming God's message to the people. Included in the book are activities that extend the reading comprehension of each prophet's short biography. The authors used well-tested practices for the activities: Venn diagrams, collages, identifying the prophet and his nickname, matching the prophesy with the liturgical season, creating an art piece that depicts hope in the 21st century, and answering questions after reading a biblical selection of the prophet, along with several other activities. +
