Paperback. Project 2025 The List by Esme Mees dissects the far-right's calculated effort to reshape America into a corporate-controlled theocracy, using religion as a smokescreen for greed. This manifesto lays bare the Heritage Foundation's fever dream to dismantle civil liberties, undermine public welfare, and crush environmental protections, paving the way for an authoritarian future. With each chapter exposing targeted attacks such as on education, justice, and climate policy, Mees pairs her biting analysis with evocative black-and-white woodblock print illustrations, echoing the stark and raw realities of this dystopian agenda. This isn't just a warning; it's a call to arms. If we don't stand up now, this country will be steamrolled into a theocratic dystopia. Time is running out. Read it, rage against it, and do something about it before it's too late. This item is printed on demand. Project 2025: The List takes the Heritage Foundation’s Presidential Transition Project and turns it into something brutally readable. Instead of asking the reader to wade through a massive policy document, this book breaks the agenda into clear thematic lists that show, piece by piece, what Project 2025 would mean for government, women, labor, education, climate, health, media, religion, technology, civil liberties, and everyday life. It makes the Republican agenda easier to see by stripping away the soft language and putting the effects in plain view.
Where The Blueprint walks through the structure of the Heritage document section by section, The List hits differently. It is faster, sharper, and more cumulative. The book organizes the dangers of Project 2025 across categories like children, elections, family, immigration, justice, LGBTQ+ issues, minorities, taxes, veterans, and women, while also including notes and timelines that connect the plan to a longer history of money, power, Christian nationalism, and the authoritarian right. It reads less like a policy manual and more like a running tally of what gets targeted, hollowed out, or handed upward.
What makes this book especially distinct is that every section is introduced with original woodblock print-style imagery by Esme Mees. Those stark black-and-white illustrations give the book a harder visual edge and set it apart from more generic political commentary. The style carries that Albrecht Dürer influence you wanted foregrounded: old-world severity, religious undertone, hierarchy, punishment, dread. The visuals are not filler. They help make the book feel like an artifact of the moment rather than a disposable reaction title.
For anyone trying to get a clearer handle on how Project 2025 touches everyday life, The List gives the bigger picture in a quicker, sharper form. It shows how Christian nationalism, authoritarian politics, and the modern Republican agenda move across issue after issue, until what looks separate starts to read as one coordinated vision.
