Acerca del autor
Mohammed Atiquzzaman obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from the University of Manchester (UK), and BS from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He holds the Edith Kinney Gaylord Presidential Professorship and the Hitachi Chair Professorship in the School of Computer Science at the University of Oklahoma and is a life member of IEEE.
Dr. Atiquzzaman is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Networks and Computer Applications, founding Editor-in-Chief of Vehicular Communications, former co-editor-in-chief of Computer Communication, and has served/serving on the editorial boards of many highly-ranked journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE JSAC, IEEE Communications Magazine, and International Journal on Wireless and Optical Communications. He also guest-edited 12 special issues in various journals.
He has served as symposium co-chair for many IEEE Globecom and IEEE ICC conferences and co-chair of the IEEE High Performance Switching and Routing Symposium. He was the Workshop Chair of Globecom 2022 and panels co-chair of INFOCOM’05 and is/has been on the program committee of numerous conferences, such as INFOCOM, ICCCN, and Local Computer Networks.
He serves on the review panels of funding agencies such as the National Science Foundation, National Research Council (Canada) and Australian Research Council (Australia). In recognition of his contribution to NASA research, he received the NASA Group Achievement Award for "outstanding work to further NASA Glenn Research Center's effort in the area of Advanced Communications/Air Traffic Management's Fiber Optic Signal Distribution for Aeronautical Communications" project. He received the IEEE 2023 Internet of Things, Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks Technical Achievement Award for valuable contributions to the Internet of Things, Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks scientific community, the IEEE 2018 Satellite and Space Communications Technical Recognition Award for valuable contributions to the Satellite and Space Communications scientific community, the IEEE 2017 Distinguished Technical Achievement Award in recognition of outstanding technical contributions and services in the area of communications switching and routing, and the IEEE 2020 Distinguished Service Award in recognition of outstanding service for the benefit and advancement of the IEEE Communications Society. Dr. Atiquzzaman received the IEEE Fred W. Ellersick Prize for his paper entitled “Evaluation of SCTP for Space Networks”. He has been invited to deliver keynote talks at over 40 international conferences around the globe, including USA, Brazil, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Australia, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Korea.
His research interests include satellite communications, wireless and mobile networks, vehicular networks, ad hoc networks, Quality of Service, and optical communications. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), U.S. Air Force, Cisco, Honeywell, Oklahoma Department of Transportation, and Oklahoma Highway Safety Office. He has over 450 refereed technical publications.
Neil Y. Yen received the joint Ph.D. degree from the Department of Human Informatics and Cognitive Sciences, Waseda University, Japan, and the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Tamkang University, Taiwan, in 2012. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Computer Science and Engineering, The University of Aizu, Japan. His current interests include human-centric computing, big data, and anticipatory computing.
Zheng Xu is currently the professor in Shanghai Polytechnic University, China. He is with over 4200 citations (H-index 32). He has authored or co-authored more than 200 publications. He is now the Editors-in-Chief of Cyber-Physical Systems, Editors-in-Chief of International Journal of Information Technology, Communications and Convergence, and the associate editor of Discover Internet of Things. He won the Best Editor Award of the year 2022 of Springer journal Discover Internet of Things. His paper titled “Ensemble-based multi-filter feature selection method for DDoS detection in cloud computing” obtained EURASIP Best paper awards 2019.

Derecho al desistimiento
Si es un consumidor, puede rescindir el contrato de acuerdo con lo siguiente. Por consumidor se entiende cualquier persona física que actúe con fines ajenos a su actividad comercial, empresarial, oficio o profesión.
Información sobre el derecho de desistimiento
Derecho legal de desistimiento
Tiene derecho a rescindir este contrato en un plazo de 14 días sin dar ningún motivo.
El periodo de desistimiento vencerá a los 14 días desde que usted, o un tercero que no sea el transportista e indicado por usted, adquiera la posesión física del último bien o del último lote o pieza.
Para ejercer el derecho de desistimiento, complete de forma electrónica y envíe una declaración clara en nuestro sitio web, desde "Mis compras" en "Mi cuenta". Le enviaremos sin demora un acuse de recibo de dicho desistimiento a través de un soporte duradero (por ejemplo, por correo electrónico).
Para cumplir con el plazo de desistimiento, basta con que envíe su comunicación relativa al ejercicio del derecho de desistimiento antes de que venza el periodo de desistimiento.
Efectos del desistimiento
Si rescinde este contrato, le reembolsaremos todos los pagos que hayamos recibido de usted, incluidos los gastos de envío (excepto los gastos adicionales que surjan si elige un tipo de envío que no sea el tipo de envío estándar más económico que ofrecemos).
Podemos hacer una deducción del reembolso por la pérdida de valor de cualquier bien suministrado, si la pérdida es el resultado de una manipulación innecesaria por su parte.
Efectuaremos el reembolso sin demoras indebidas y, a más tardar, 14 días después de que se nos informe de su decisión de rescindir este contrato.
Efectuaremos el reembolso utilizando el mismo medio de pago que utilizó para la transacción inicial, a menos que haya acordado expresamente lo contrario; en cualquier caso, no incurrirá en ningún cargo como resultado de dicho reembolso.
Podremos retener el reembolso hasta que hayamos recibido los bienes o hasta que nos haya presentado una prueba de que los ha devuelto, lo que ocurra primero.
Deberá devolver los bienes o entregarlos a AHA-BUCH GmbH, Einbeck, Germany, sin demoras indebidas y, en cualquier caso, en un plazo máximo de 14 días a partir del día en que nos comunique su desistimiento del presente contrato. El plazo se cumple si devuelve la mercancía antes de que venza el periodo de 14 días. Tendrá que asumir los gastos directos de devolución de los bienes. Usted solo es responsable de la disminución del valor de los bienes como resultado de una manipulación distinta a la necesaria para establecer la naturaleza, las características y el funcionamiento de los bienes.
Excepciones al derecho de desistimiento
El derecho de desistimiento no se aplica a lo siguiente:
- La entrega de periódicos, diarios o revistas, con la excepción de los contratos de suscripción; y
- El suministro de contenido digital que no se proporcione en un soporte tangible (por ejemplo, en un CD o DVD) si, al hacer el pedido, aceptó que podíamos empezar a entregarlo y que no podría desistir una vez iniciada la entrega.
