Language: English. About The Book: Ageing is a universal and irreversible process. The rate of ageing is not uniform but different from individual to individual. Getting old is the result of the interplay of biological, sociological, psychological, and ecological factors. The interaction of declining fertility and mortality regimes governs the pace of population of ageing. This faster pace of demographic transition in developing countries has resulted in a growth of the aged population not only in proportion to that of the developed countries, but also in absolute numbers. India is a country with a fine tradition of respecting, loving and supporting the aged. As a result of modernization, urbanization and globalization the values and life styles are changing which is affecting the care of the aged and problems of aged are alarmingly increasing. The present volume highlights that each applied discipline is important and when development plans are drawn at different level, the potentialities of the contribution of the aged should be taken into account. This volume will provide them with a will to live with a holistic attitude. This volume would provide guideline to Sociologists, Social Workers, Gerontologists, Demographers, Social Scientist, Medical Scientists, Planners and Policy makers for developing action and academic programmers for the cause and care of elderly population in Rural, Urban and Tribal areas of the country. This volume would pave the way to cater the needs of the aged and also for the welfare of the aged in the country. About The Author: Venkateswarlu Vankayalapati, (b. 1968) is an asstt. Professor and Asstt. Coordinator in the Department of Sociology and Social Work, Acharya Nagarjuna University. A devoted researcher with diverse areas of interest ranging from Ageing, Gender Issues, Demography, Health Aspects, Human Rights and AIDS. Dr. Venkateswarlu did his Postgraduate and received his doctorate in Sociology from Andhra University. He did his Master of Population Studies (M.P.S.) and received M.Phil., degree from International Institute for Population Studies (I.I.P.S., Mumbai). He published three books in addition to 30 research papers and articles in National and International Journals. He has to his Credit Association with two collaborated research projects sponsored by U.G.C. He has also participated in more than 30 seminars and conferences. Dr. Venkateswarlu also actively involved in administrative affairs i.e. working as Incharge Chief Warden for Boys Hostels for the last several years. He has been working as Consultant for NGOs and member of several professional associations. El periodo de desistimiento vencerá a los 14 días desde que usted, o un tercero que no sea el transportista e indicado por usted, adquiera la posesión física del último bien o del último lote o pieza.
Para ejercer el derecho de desistimiento, complete de forma electrónica y envíe una declaración clara en nuestro sitio web, desde "Mis compras" en "Mi cuenta". Le enviaremos sin demora un acuse de recibo de dicho desistimiento a través de un soporte duradero (por ejemplo, por correo electrónico).
Para cumplir con el plazo de desistimiento, basta con que envíe su comunicación relativa al ejercicio del derecho de desistimiento antes de que venza el periodo de desistimiento.
Efectos del desistimiento

El plazo se cumple si devuelve la mercancía antes de que venza el periodo de 14 días. Tendrá que asumir los gastos directos de devolución de los bienes. Usted solo es responsable de la disminución del valor de los bienes como resultado de una manipulación distinta a la necesaria para establecer la naturaleza, las características y el funcionamiento de los bienes.
Excepciones al derecho de desistimiento
El derecho de desistimiento no se aplica a lo siguiente:
- La entrega de periódicos, diarios o revistas, con la excepción de los contratos de suscripción; y
- El suministro de contenido digital que no se proporcione en un soporte tangible (por ejemplo, en un CD o DVD) si, al hacer el pedido, aceptó que podíamos empezar a entregarlo y que no podría desistir una vez iniciada la entrega.

If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. We give extra discount for the bulk purchase orders. Our prices includes shipping charges. The customer do not have to pay any extra charges at the time of delivery but if your Country charges VAT and customs that has to be born by the customer.
