Hard Cover. Very Good to Near Fine/Very Good Dustjacket. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 218 pages plus index. A scarce but outstanding reference work in the field. With 27 instructional drawings. The book is sturdily bound in black cloth-covered boards textured to catch the light in different ways from different angles, an interesting effect. The spine bears the publisher's paper label stating the title and the author. The only real flaws to the book itself are a bit of soil to the top exterior page edges and a faint age toning to the pages. The exterior of the book is especially dazzling, still fresh, crisp and bright with only insignificant, very occasional signs of any prior handling or shelf use. The spine label is completely intact and untouched by any wear. The book is clean, it stands perfectly straight, and it is still extremely firm and tight in its binding, with no pages loose, missing, folded or torn. The hinges are still sound and completely undamaged. The text-block is intact and held well in place by the binding. The corner points are sharp and unbumped. The pages are clean, clear, and unsmudged, with just a bit of age-toning, however, all text and illustrations remain bright, crisp, sharp and very legible. There is no writing, underlining, highlighting or markings of any kind in the book, and there are no bookplates. The cloth binding is without any wear, and there are no tears, no snags, no wear-throughs, and no fraying. The dustjacket shows very brief, occasional, faint hand soil and some age toning, especially to the spine, but it nonetheless presents as clean and basically intact. There is light-to-moderate wear at the corners and there is chipping at the top of the spine and a chip missing from the bottom of the spine which does not affect any lettering or graphics. The jacket is, however, otherwise complete, and is free of wrinkles, folds or creases. It is still bright and all jacket lettering and jacket graphics are very legible. A solid, very sound copy of an important book in the field. N° de ref. de la librería A147
