Paperback. Nobody tells you that the IB is a game. They tell you it's hard. They tell you it builds character. They tell you universities love it. What they don't tell you is that the students who do well aren't geniuses, they just figure out how to play the system. The Price of a 7 is David's account of figuring that out the hard way. From a school trip to Chicago where a teacher's offhand comment changed the trajectory of his next two years, to a chemistry class taught by someone who had never heard of the IB - and still scoring 97/100 - to four months of having his TOK arguments destroyed before landing an A, David pulls back the curtain on everything your teachers won't tell you. Part confession, part guide, this is a book about what it actually takes: not blind effort, not better resources, but a different way of thinking about failure, feedback, and the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it. Funny, candid, and occasionally insufferable: this is the book David wishes someone had handed him on the first day of DP1. David graduated with 44 points. Today he runs the7student, an IB mentoring agency and education platform helping students find their own version of a 7. A Personal Account of What it Takes to Get Level 7s in the International Baccalauareate [IB] Diploma Program This item is printed on demand.
