The Preferred Way is the result of me being angry about the paltry returns that I was receiving on my money market and CD accounts. The point of my motivation occurred when I realized that interest on six figure accounts at the bank would not even buy my favorite treat at the coffee shop. The result of my efforts culminated in a portfolio of high yielding investments which used my buy hold and control strategy to produce better results while assuming only about one half the risk of the overall market. My credentials are as follows: Bill is the Managing Director of Trimont Financial Services, a financial consulting firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also served as a Managing Director of GMAC Commercial Finance Group (2 years) and as a Managing Director of Bank of America Capital Funding Group (10 years). Mr. Orr has experience in a wide array of financing for a diverse domestic and international client base. He has closed more than US $3.0 billion of transactions during his career and has an extensive network of contacts at major banks, investment banks, hedge funds, and private equity firms for syndication placement of a variety of financial products. Prior to Bank of America, he served as Senior Investment Officer with Westinghouse Credit Corporation and as Vice President of Credit Management with Barclays Bank. Mr. Orr has won awards for Best Marketing, Highest Team Production, New Product Introduction, International Sales, and Transaction of the Year. He belongs to numerous financial and management associations.
