Acerca del autor
Wan-Huan ZHOU is currently Head and Associate Professor of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Interim Director of Centre for Regional Ocean at the University of Macau. Prof. Zhou received her B.Eng. degree in 2002 and M.Sc. degree in 2005 from Zhejiang University in China and Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2008. After graduation, she worked as a Lecturer at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and later joined the University of Macau in September 2009. She has acted as Principal Investigator on 11 research projects, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) and the Macao Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT). She has published more than 40 SCI articles as the first or correspondent author in geotechnical journals, such as Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, ASCE and Canadian Geotechnical Journal. She won the 2011 best paper award of the International Association.
Zhen-Yu YIN is an Associate Professor of Geotechnical Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University since 2018. Dr. Yin received his BSc in Civil Engineering from Zhejiang University in 1997, followed by a 5 years engineering consultancy at the Zhejiang Jiahua Architecture Design Institute. Then, he obtained his MSc and PhD in Geotechnical Engineering at Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France) in 2003 and 2006 respectively. Then he has been working as postdoctoral researcher at Helsinki University of Technology (Finland), University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, UK), Ecole Centrale de Nantes and University of Massachusetts (Umass-Amherst, USA). In 2010 he joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University as Special Researcher and received “Professor of Exceptional Rank of Shanghai Dong-Fang Scholar”. In 2013 he joined Ecole Centrale de Nantes as Associate Professor before moving to Hong Kong. Dr. Yin has published over 160 articles in peer reviewed international journals with an H index of35 according to Web of Science. Since 2012 he is a member of the granular materials committee of American Society of Civil Engineers.
Ka-Veng Yuen is the Dean of Graduate School and Distinguished Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) of the University of Macau. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) after a study period of 2 years and 7 months. His major awards include Young Investigator Award, International Chinese Association on Computational Mechanics; QIAN Weichang program scholar, K.C. Wong Education Foundation; Phi-Tau-Phi Honorary member and the Housner’s Fellowship. His paper “Model selection using response measurements: Bayesian probabilistic approach” (co-authored with J.L. Beck) is one of the top 10 most cited papers among all papers published in the Journal of Engineering Mechanics (established since 1983) of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Furthermore, his single-author book “Bayesian methods for structural dynamics and civil engineering” (published by the top publisher John Wiley & Sons in 2010) has attracted great attention of Bayesian methods for structural dynamics. It has become a classical reading in this research field. His H index is 30 according to Web of Science.

Si es un consumidor, puede rescindir el contrato de acuerdo con lo siguiente. Por consumidor se entiende cualquier persona física que actúe con fines ajenos a su actividad comercial, empresarial, oficio o profesión.
Información sobre el derecho de desistimiento
Derecho legal de desistimiento
Tiene derecho a rescindir este contrato en un plazo de 14 días sin dar ningún motivo.
El periodo de desistimiento vencerá a los 14 días desde que usted, o un tercero que no sea el transportista e indicado por usted, adquiera la posesión física del último bien o del último lote o pieza.
Para ejercer el derecho de desistimiento, complete de forma electrónica y envíe una declaración clara en nuestro sitio web, desde "Mis compras" en "Mi cuenta". Le enviaremos sin demora un acuse de recibo de dicho desistimiento a través de un soporte duradero (por ejemplo, por correo electrónico).
Para cumplir con el plazo de desistimiento, basta con que envíe su comunicación relativa al ejercicio del derecho de desistimiento antes de que venza el periodo de desistimiento.
Efectos del desistimiento
Si rescinde este contrato, le reembolsaremos todos los pagos que hayamos recibido de usted, incluidos los gastos de envío (excepto los gastos adicionales que surjan si elige un tipo de envío que no sea el tipo de envío estándar más económico que ofrecemos).
Podemos hacer una deducción del reembolso por la pérdida de valor de cualquier bien suministrado, si la pérdida es el resultado de una manipulación innecesaria por su parte.
Efectuaremos el reembolso sin demoras indebidas y, a más tardar, 14 días después de que se nos informe de su decisión de rescindir este contrato.
Efectuaremos el reembolso utilizando el mismo medio de pago que utilizó para la transacción inicial, a menos que haya acordado expresamente lo contrario; en cualquier caso, no incurrirá en ningún cargo como resultado de dicho reembolso.
Podremos retener el reembolso hasta que hayamos recibido los bienes o hasta que nos haya presentado una prueba de que los ha devuelto, lo que ocurra primero.
Deberá devolver los bienes o entregarlos a AHA-BUCH GmbH, Einbeck, Germany, sin demoras indebidas y, en cualquier caso, en un plazo máximo de 14 días a partir del día en que nos comunique su desistimiento del presente contrato. El plazo se cumple si devuelve la mercancía antes de que venza el periodo de 14 días. Tendrá que asumir los gastos directos de devolución de los bienes. Usted solo es responsable de la disminución del valor de los bienes como resultado de una manipulación distinta a la necesaria para establecer la naturaleza, las características y el funcionamiento de los bienes.
Excepciones al derecho de desistimiento
El derecho de desistimiento no se aplica a lo siguiente:
- La entrega de periódicos, diarios o revistas, con la excepción de los contratos de suscripción; y
- El suministro de contenido digital que no se proporcione en un soporte tangible (por ejemplo, en un CD o DVD) si, al hacer el pedido, aceptó que podíamos empezar a entregarlo y que no podría desistir una vez iniciada la entrega.
