Biographies of about 725 Arizona men, and a few women, who were prominent in Arizona at the beginning of the 20th century. Full page photographs of perhaps half of them. The volume has what seems to have been rebound with the original covers incorporated into a high quality new black leather binding and has a gold foreedge. This volume is signed in 1933 by 11 of the biographees and one wife of a biographee. Included are L.A.W. Burtch, physician in Clifton; Ben R. Clark, Sheriff of Graham County from Solomonville; Vernon L. Clark, businessman of Phoenix (ink corrections to text); Major L. W. Coggins of the Arizona National Guard; William W. Cook, cattleman from New River; George W. P. Hunt, businessman from Gila County who later became Arizona's first state governor and was governor 6 more times [his entry does not have a photograph]; Dr. Henry Jessop, dentist; James C. Norton, veterinarian; Mrs. John R. Norton (Etta W.), wife of cattleman and Maricopa County supervisor; John P. Orme, cattle rancher of Phoenix; Charles L. Rawling, lawyer from Solomonville; and Col.
