He was always going to come back for me.

A year and a half after Andrew Valens' death, Oren and Thorne are healing while Simon and Liam navigate their newfound relationship. When Thorne discusses a new threat, one involving trafficked kids, all are on board except for a hesitant Liam, whose past has been hidden to keep him safe.

As Liam deals with his surmounting emotions, Simon struggles to recover from that day-the day he nearly lost his life and became broken. He's no longer a soldier, incapable of the strength he once had, and hates his prosthetic more than anything because it hinders one thing: his ability to protect Liam.

When an old predator resurfaces, an infrastructure of a dark monopoly is uncovered. Testing everyone, its sickening depths rock even the most unshakeable bonds. They learn that Andrew Valens was only the beginning of a chapter, and with the corruption thickening, none of them are prepared for the lethality that crawls from its depths-someone far more potent than Valens ever was.
