Reseña del editor
Life was good on Podger's Farm, growing up in the 1930s and 1940s - these were happy days. Horses were still 'king of the Road', farming was still done the traditional way and we kids learnt the hard way. The war years were tough, but life had its moments - remember all those innocent childhood pranks, and getting a right whacking when it was deserved! "Podger's Farm" is packed with vivid memories of local customs and traditional ideas, the joys, the woes and complexities of farm and family life, and of children growing up and knowing how to 'hit the ground running' as they moved towards adulthood. Step back in time and savour some precious fragments of our history!
