Acerca del autor
Dimitra J. Smith , Ph.D., LCDCI, is a Professor and former Department Head in the Department of Higher Education and Learning Technologies. She is currently the Doctoral Coordinator of the Higher Education Program at East Texas A&M University. She is also a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor - Intern (LCDC-I). Dr. Dimitra Smith is a sought-out presenter for her experience and expertise in leadership, career fulfilment, and Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) education and preparation. She has presented at numerous regional, national, and international conferences, and events. As PI, Dr. Smith recently received a USDA grant for $500,000 to explore the experiences of underrepresented beginning farmers. She has also written and published in major peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Smith is also a children’s book author and has written a number of books focused on educating children on STEAM related careers and opportunities. She has edited and co-edited educational books on the future of higher education. Some of her co-edited books include, The Future of Black Leadership in Higher Education: Firsthand Experiences and Global Impact (2022); Changing the Stigma of Mental Health Among African Americans: Moving from Denial to Acceptance (2023); Community Colleges and Workforce Preparation in the 21st Century: Emerging Research and Opportunities (2021); Preparing a STEM Workforce through Trough Career-Technical Education (2017); and Examining the Impact of Community Colleges on the Global Workforce (2015). In addition to the aforementioned co-edited books, Dr. Smith is also a published author of several children’s books. Her children’s books include The Beary STEAM-tastic Adventure; The STEAMflites Save the Day; Teele and Guba’s Exciting Escapades Through STEM; The Best STEAM Career of all Careers; Stan the Can Has No Magic: An education way to learn about the impact of alcohol use the road to recovery; Big Momma’s Treasure: Big Momma Didn’t Raise No Thug; and Domestic Violence: Smiling Faces Don’t Always Tell the Truth.
Delarious O. Stewart is an educator, counselor, and thought leader in the fields of mental health and education. As an Assistant Professor of Counseling at East Texas A&M University and a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S), Dr. Stewart has built a career dedicated to fostering emotional resilience, equity, and success for individuals and communities. His expertise in school counseling, mental health counseling, and school psychology allows him to support clients across the lifespan―from childhood through adulthood.
Faye Burner is an enthusiastic licensed clinical mental health counselor, supervisor, and professor with more than 15 years of experience providing mental health and substance use services. She has a solid record of research and community engagement. She is committed to providing clinical supervision to residents in counseling and students and assisting them in developing their full potential in their studies and in their work with clients and the community. She has a strong philosophy of teaching, mentoring and coaching counselors who are new to the field. She is a dedicated community partner who helps promote learning, diversity, and outreach projects within the community.

We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. Returns Policy
We ask all customers to contact us for authorisation should they wish to return their order. Orders returned without authorisation may not be credited.
If you wish to return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to obtain authorisation.
Returns requested beyond this time will not be authorised.
Our team will provide full instructions on how to return your order and once received our returns department will process your refund.
Please note the cost to return any unwanted order to us is borne by the buyer.
Should your order arrive damaged, not as advertised or faulty, we must be advised of this within 14 days of delivery. Please contact us so we can find the best solution for you.

El periodo de desistimiento vencerá a los 14 días desde que usted, o un tercero que no sea el transportista e indicado por usted, adquiera la posesión física del último bien o del último lote o pieza.
Para ejercer el derecho de desistimiento, complete de forma electrónica y envíe una declaración clara en nuestro sitio web, desde "Mis compras" en "Mi cuenta". Le enviaremos sin demora un acuse de recibo de dicho desistimiento a través de un soporte duradero (por ejemplo, por correo electrónico).
Para cumplir con el plazo de desistimiento, basta con que envíe su comunicación relativa al ejercicio del derecho de desistimiento antes de que venza el periodo de desistimiento.
Efectos del desistimiento

El plazo se cumple si devuelve la mercancía antes de que venza el periodo de 14 días. Tendrá que asumir los gastos directos de devolución de los bienes. Usted solo es responsable de la disminución del valor de los bienes como resultado de una manipulación distinta a la necesaria para establecer la naturaleza, las características y el funcionamiento de los bienes.
Excepciones al derecho de desistimiento
El derecho de desistimiento no se aplica a lo siguiente:
