nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - When fourteen-year-old Sara Holt drags her cautious best friend Neil Carter into a forbidden cave, they expect bones, bats, and maybe a good story to tell on Monday. They do not expect the world to change around them. A single choiceopening an ancient chest called the Door of Life hurls them into a living world built on Paths, where every decision births power. or wakes something meant to stay sleeping. Now hunted by a silent, shadow-forged guardian known as a Pathborn the children are saved only by Philip, a barefoot boy who climbs out of the same chest and claims he was 'born from Havenstone.' a sanctuary city protected by an ancient stone titan. But Havenstone does not welcome them as heroes. The Door of Life has bound Sara and Neil to this world-marking Sara with the Path of Clarity, the power to see devastating truths, and Neil with the Path of Preservation, the rare ability to anchor futures themselves. These gifts awaken forces far older and far darker: ¿ the fractured One Who Breaks All Paths, a reality-rewriter who can undo fate with a gesture, ¿ and Null, a Keeper who can erase beings from existence and seeks to 'unwrite' the children entirely. Yet the greatest secret is one Havenstone tried hardest to bury: Null was once Nallis, twin to Orin, the Keeper of Beginnings-erased to save the world, but not erased completely. When Orin's lingering remnant chooses Neil as its anchor, the fragile balance of Paths threatens to tear apart. As truth, destiny, and memory collide, Sara must decide how much clarity she's willing to sacrifice. Neil must choose which future he will give up so others may live theirs. And Philip, half-awakened Keeper, must face a destiny he was never prepared for. The Paths are waking. The world is rewriting itself. And three children must decide what becomes of both. The Pathborn Awakening is a sweeping dark-fantasy epic about impossible choices, broken destinies, ancient guardians, and the courage it takes to walk a path that wasn't meant to exist.…
