Have you prayed any of these prayers lately?

• God, how do you want to use me for your kingdom?
• Lord, what areas in my life do I need to give control back to you?
• Father, show me your will.

As Christians, we long to know Jesus more and more, and once we meet him we can’t help but to be changed.

But living as a Christian today can be challenging, and it can be difficult to know the path we should take that most honors God in our lives.

Thank God that Jesus’ wisdom was recorded for us.

Our newest book, The Path to Purpose, takes a closer look at the Sermon on the Mount and how Jesus’ timeless truth can help you discover God’s will for your life.

As Dr. Ryan Denison and Dr. Jim Denison write:

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus essentially gives us his systematic ethic for how to be his disciples. . . . The Sermon on the Mount represents the core of what Jesus spent three years telling people across the Jewish world. It covers a wide range of topics that encompass most every facet of what he expects of those who claim to follow him. As St. Augustine describes, the Sermon represents “a perfect standard of the Christian life.”

While being a Christian is not about attaining perfection in our own effort, it is about following God’s plan.

And you can know God’s will for your life when you follow Jesus and his teachings.
