The Path to Athletic Power chronicles the development of modern sports conditioning practices through the eyes and first-hand experiences of a leading expert, Boyd Epley. The book presents readers with the ten key conditioning principles behind Epley's programme and outlines how to apply these principles to their own facilities for a complete and superior athletic exercise regime.
Acerca del autor: Boyd Epley is the Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Performance and Facility Development at the University of Nebraska, USA. The first person to carry the title of Strength Coach, Epley started the Husker Power training programme for the Husker American football team in 1970. In 1978, he founded the American National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and served as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors for five years. In 1980, he was the first to be named the National Strength Coach of the Year and in 1993 he was presented the NSCA's first Lifetime Achievement Award. Epley's training system has been a catalyst for over 300 athletes to go on to play in the NFL or to achieve status as World, US national, or Olympic Champions.
