Sinopsis:

Perhaps herein you will undergo a change, and perhaps you will neither notice it nor obey its imperatives. No one can know in advance what use the jungle will make of them. However, if you have knowledgeable guides -- guides such as Robert Frazier and Bruce Boston -- you may be led to a site where the dreams that make us real are common stuff and the mysteries we breathe are born. -- Lucius Shepard, from the Introduction.

OVERVIEW: Appearing in such diverse publications as Weird Tales, Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, Omni, and The Magazine of Speculative Poetry, and the books TROPICAL CHILLS, YEAR'S BEST FANTASY AND HORROR, these poems have received universal acclaim. Together they paint the future for a global struggle that seems inevitable. Published by Horror's Head Press and distributed here by Overlook Connection Press Distribution.

About the Author:

ROBERT FRAZIER is probably the most widely published poet in science fiction. He has received the Rhysling Award twice and the Asimov's Reader's Award, and has several collections, Co-orbital Moons in 1988 and in 1984 he edited the landmark anthology of fantastic poetry, Burning With a Vision. Frazier has illustrated several books and has designed them for several independent presses.

BRUCE BOSTON is also one of the most widely published poets in science fiction. He has won the Rhysling Award for SF Poetry seven times, the Asimov's Readers' Award six times, and has twice been slected Best Poet of the Year by the Small Press Writers and Artists Organization. Boston is the author of more than fifty books of fiction and poetry, including the novels The Guardener's Tale and Stained Glass Rain.

LUCIUS SHEPARD is considered a master of short fiction. Shepard has won several accolades, including the Nebula Award for the novella "R&R" and the Wold Fantasy Award for his first collection of stories, The Jaguar Hunter. His books also include Life During Wartime, Kalimantan, and The Ends of the Earth, as well as The Golden.
