The present volume treats of the last Sixteen Chapters, a division suggested by the narrative, and also followed by the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, whose syndicates select the first twelve chapters, and the remaining sixteen for the subjects of examination in alternate years.
There will be found an Introduction treating of several subjects with which a student of the Acts should be acquainted, but the consideration of which occupies too much space to be inserted as Marginal or Foot Note; As far as possible the Notes have been arranged in such a form as can be reproduced in examination by the student.
Full Geographical and Biographical Notices will be found in the Introduction, and Maps have been introduced wherever necessary to illustrate the geography of the work. The Note: will be found opposite, or nearly opposite, the words or phrase they are intended to explain.
