"Strap on your seatbelt for a wild ride with some of the most creative actors of the past half century, from Jean-Paul Sartre to Bella Abzug to Shirley Chisholm. Anne Zill was present at the birth of many of the biggest and boldest ideas of the past half century to end wars, to protect the Constitution, to empower and elect women, and to raise hell in all the best ways. And, she had a lot of fun along the way. For the many progressives who shudder in the face of huge obstacles, this book will inspire you to create the new institutions that can stop fascism in its tracks."

- John Cavanagh, Senior Fellow, Institute for Policy Studies

Anne Zill grew up on the coast of Maine, went to NYC for college, and spent many years in Washington, DC, giving away Stewart Mott’s money for causes and running an idea salon with creative people trying to make the world work better. She has four daughters and, much later, an additional career as a university art gallery director, nurturing artists and their art as lifelong learning tools of inspiration.
