Acerca de los autores: Rev. Emily Flemming is an ordained Elder in the Mountain Sky Conference of the United Methodist Church (UMC). Raised Southern Baptist in South Carolina, she came to United Methodism through a missionary church in Germany, where she lived for 12 years. Emily loves the mountains, music, travel, craft beer, and her friends and family around the world. A former corporate headhunter (MBA), German teacher (BA), and competitive tap dancer, Emily has many passions and even more energy. As solo pastor of First UMC of Windsor, Colorado, her heart and hands are full with ministry and her family: husband, Regis; daughter, Lillian; and son, Isaak. Writing is her retreat, and Emily is honored to share her experiences of healing from sexual assault in this, her first publication.

Greta Smith, Ph.D. has been a licensed psychologist in the state of Tennessee for almost twenty years. She is currently a seminary student, pursuing a Master's in Theological Studies at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. She is a certified candidate seeking ordination as a deacon in the United Methodist Church. Greta thrives on helping others feel connected, understood, and whole. She lives in East Tennessee with her husband, Joey, their children, Eliana and Ryan, and two spoiled dogs. She cultivates her own sense of connectedness and wholeness by hiking in the mountains, studying scripture, theology, and Christian history, and, most of all, being with people she loves.
