Original vintage movie poster for re-release of the classic comedy from the maker of 2001: A Space Odyssey and A Clockwork Orange - Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove directed by Stanley Kubrick and starring Peter Sellers, George C. Scott, Sterling Hayden and Tracey Reed. Colourful and fun image depicting the American president talking to the Russian president on a red telephone with the phone wire running through a globe featuring the American and Soviet flags on the world to symbolise the Moscow - Washington hotline with the men on each side, a lady's arm holding a glass and embracing the Russian president with the title text above in stylised white letters against a red background. Artwork by the notable artist, cartoonist and poster designer Tomi Ungerer (1931-2019). Good condition, restored folds, ink stamp, light browning, backed on linen. Size: 106x68cm.
