An insightful, robust and at times violent techno thriller with literary merit, Onerio by John S. Goldenberg is first in a series that offers high-octane action with spellbinding intrigue. Oneiro is Greek for dream and in the case of Philip Carr all he—or most anyone—has ever dreamed has just come to fruition. From the plush confines of Manhattan to a veritable paradise, this top-notch lawyer has paid his dues only to learn one never stops paying. In a rush of action and a not so farfetched string of events, Philip finds himself in charge of a small island and the university that is nestled on its stunning shores. None of his talents are overlooked as he begins to sort out the lay of the land. Unwittingly, he acts a catalyst and discerns the island’s rather credulous academics are unaware that the technology they create will be used for malice, sin and vice. In paradise, true evil is even more insidious…against their innocence reigns a wickedness few will survive.
